Why we design for every day, not just occasions

A lot of fine jewellery is designed around a moment: an anniversary, a graduation, a dinner out. It gets worn, photographed, and put back in a drawer until the next occasion comes around.

We started Adina with a different brief. Most of what we wear day to day is plain — a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, a watch you stop noticing after the first week. We wanted jewellery that fits into that category instead of standing apart from it.

That means thinner bands, smaller stones, and finishes that don't scratch the moment they meet a kitchen sink. None of it photographs as dramatically as a statement piece. It's not meant to. It's meant to still be on your hand the next morning, and the morning after that.

If there's a test we apply to every design, it's this: would you forget you were wearing it? If the answer is yes, we're usually on the right track.
